John was born into a military family living the nomad life and moving every couple years to new and exciting destinations.
Born in Maine, John has lived in Scotland, Morroco and Iceland. John’s mother is French, and many a Summer was spent lying on the rocky beaches of The Cote d’azur in Southern France. John is a graduate of Key West High School where he studied diving, Rum and suntanning. While attending 11th grade at Naval Air Station Keflavik, Iceland, John took a work experience class that brought him into the radio world.
“My first actual job was to keep American music off of the black market by destroying records and tapes”. Soon, John was on the air programming his own radio show and broadcasting live to an entire country!
Upon returning to the United States, John attended broadcast school at Miami Lakes Tech.
John has worked for dozens of radio stations over the years including several on The Treasure Coast. John and his wife Sue were married at St Helens in 1996.
Shortly after, John and Sue relocated to Daytona Beach where John was program director for 98 Frog for four years. “Our daughter Sarah was born in Daytona” says John.
Shortly after Sarah’s birth the family relocated to Charleston, West Virginia, where John launched a new Country station – 961 The WOLF.
Along the way, Son Steven was born.
Twelve years later John and family relocated to Vero Beach to launch B94.7 FRESH COUNTRY. “This is full circle for us, we’re glad to be back home”.
John can be heard weekdays from 3-7pm on B94.7 FRESH COUNTRY
